Lists discussion

I added another test entry so that I could try and delete it. I can delete it when I edit, but after I save it’s still there. I also wanted to test the delete button (maybe I shouldn’t even be seeing it?) but I’m scared it will actually work.

You know what, that’s a bug whether you’re a collaborator or not… surprised no one’s noticed that til now. Will fix tomorrow.

I did check the delete as a collaborator and it did error out. You can try it on mine to confirm, confident on that one

That was stressful! But yes, I did get an error message (confusingly, after being asked to confirm because the action couldn’t be undone).

I did notice it earlier:

For now I’ve just moved into the last slot and put the series in the first, where I originally had vol 1

It didn’t give me an error message - or any message of any sort - though, and I don’t know if that’s because it’s not a collaborative list or because I’m on mobile, or what

Do you have any recommendations for manga set in Fukui?

I haven’t found any yet, though I did find yesterday that the Wikipedia page for 福井県 has an incomplete list of media set there, and I was planning on starting to check those out today

Here’s a manga for Hiroshima (I’m pretty sure, Seto Inland Sea anyway):
青の島とねこ一匹 1 | L24 (learnnatively.com)

Hey there seems to be a bug where if you hit enter while typing in a description box, your progress/edits are deleted :skull:

Checking out a review, it seems like it might end up as teacher-student romance in the future? Have you read it?

I’d like to avoid that kind of narrative

That happened to me when I hit enter trying to reorder stuff in my list today too. It like. refreshed basically and it was still in the same spot. I think I had to tap outside of the text box for it to take hold.

Ah, that sounds like a much better outcome though…

All my work on that list and the list itself were deleted :smiling_face_with_tear:

No idea, I never read it, it was just something I had in my wishlist for a while before I figured out I’d rather put my energy into novels. I think @nikoru has read it and may know?

Sorry, I didn’t mean to come off as unsympathetic, merely record that it’s all text boxes, not just the description ones, where hitting enter does that

When lists went live, my first thought was to do one for sports, but that’s easy enough to find through tagging. Even sports stories that I like: in my library, filter for sports and sort by star rating (optional: filter out “sold,” though I don’t think I have any sports ones rn)

But then I realized I could do sports series about adults!

Made somewhat at @omk3 's request:

I’ll say the graphic of book covers is usually very cool, but when they’re all Aozora it’s a different look :joy: But I still like it

I love how cryptic some of the descriptions are :joy: You really wanted to keep the fun grab bag feel!

I really do think half the fun of Aozora is having no clue what you’re getting into each time you open a link :joy:

Alrighty, confirmed I can add/remove collaborators and add titles. Can also confirm that the delete title is bugged; 東京ミュウミュウオーレ will be there until fixed. :smiling_imp:

Edit: @brandon for the"hide review" option, I notice it also hides the user rating, which is nice. Could that toggle be renamed to indicate it also hides the review score?

At level 25, it is a bit hard for a beginner manga.
