This week marks the close of volume 1! Looking forward to the discussion this week and seeing how the story picks up! 
Oh-ho, we end with a mysterious new character. 
Was I the only one hoping that 海 would somehow take all those weapons with her? 
Can’t wait to read the next books with everyone; I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Does the edition other people are reading have the little “bonus stage” comic about where Hikaru, Umi and Fuu sleep at night, like mine does?
No, I don’t think I saw that in my digital copy. 
It’s a little 8 page full colour extra inserted at the end of the volume. It was printed such that you had to cut the edge of the booklet with scissors to open the pages, presumably to act as an incentive to buy the manga rather than reading it in the shop… You can see the “cut here” scissors icon and dotted line on the left if you zoom in:
Oh, very interesting! Thanks for sharing! I always get so nervous when I see books asking me to cut into pages, even if it’s just the edge like that…
Absolutely! Happily in this case the previous owner had already done so, relieving me of the decision

This has so far held up to my nostalgia. There’s been a lot of laugh out loud moments for me. And the art … well I’ll (pretty much) read anything CLAMP puts out because 
Totally forgot to add my favorite part was when 海 was like “oh hey, what’s your name”? in the last 10 pages of the volume. It’s like, we 自己紹介 in the first 20 pages, and the other girls have told TWO people their names already. And then 風 is like “you’re 龍咲海, right”. I died. 
I quickly sped through reading this morning and forgot to write down my thoughts.
Right now the girls’ personalities are pretty standard, I’m interested to see how (or if) our trios’ personalities are explored and developed over the next two volumes.
Also I think プレセア is named after the Nissan Presea which is random.
Does anyone know why Hikaru is sometimes drawn cat-like (ears, tail, にゃあs)? It seems to happen mostly when she’s confused but not sure why a cat, especially for a proud dog owner whose dog’s name is almost the same as hers (Hikaru vs Hikari) XD Are they just doing it because it’s cute?
Also excited about the new character cliffhanger!
