Up until Chapter 2 and a bit

Sometimes I think that Nezumi is a bit too overskilled. I think we’re slowing getting a more nuanced view, but I would have liked it more if it was a bit more of a give-and-take.
For example seeing him turned into Sir-sighs-a-lot in front of Shion is adorable. Those rats are freaking badass. Felt a bit sorry for Inukashi, but then again he seems to have his own shadow business empire.
Shion: “I think he’s a kind person.” After him physically harming an innocent doggo, and no I don’t take “it’s just paralyzed”, I do not condone harming animals in any way :pouting_cat:

The villains are portrayed almost comically evil, down to the evil laughing. This is a youth adult novel after all, I guess.

Excited to see Shion’s mom’s growth and probably her taking some kind of action soon. I like that we’re getting more middle-aged characters playing a more prominent role.
