I mean that we have a (challenge?) thread about reading/finishing physicals, and if you want to join in on physical bingo you can, but if you just want to read your physicals in the thread that’s ok too.

That sounds cool to me personally. Tho if I made the thread, it would have to be a wiki, so somebody else could put in the stuff about how the bingo component works
Would ppl wanna start one for August and see how it goes? I was thinking it could be setup something like the listening challenge threads (ex August 2025 Listening Challenge) where everyone has their own sorta home comment, optionally linked at the top of the page, and updates their details as they go.
Of course if someone else wants to run the thread, plz feel very free. I’ve got more than enough of those rn

CD Japan update
they have completely dodged a very specific question about cancelling so not really happy about that - seems like I’m stuck for now - but in any case did get some info (even if it’s not really new or helpful right now)
I guess if it comes to it, I can track using the newer volumes. I have them in English so I should be able to figure where to start/stop. I felt so proud collecting all those books back in the day.

Got me a new order in yesterday. I’ve been enjoying the 穏やか貴族の休暇のすすめ series so I decided to pick up the first couple of ones, as well as the short story collections. These SS collections are actually really neat: they collect all the publisher bonus SS’ for different volumes into one package, which is super convenient. I wish more LN series did this; it’s so much easier than tracking down individual stories on the secondhand market. 穏やか’s don’t seem to be easily available, either (unless I just happened to check at a bad time), so these are really convenient. They even package in bonus stories from the digital editions and the drama CDs, which is super cool.

These boys are also really thick for LNs. Volumes 2 and 3 are almost 400 pages apiece, so I guess it shouldn’t be too surprising.

After a good spell of not buying stuff 
I have finally succumbed again. たのしいムーミンの一家 is from a Lawson book corner in 釜石 (and what broke the ice…), the rest from a bookstore in 盛岡. Said bookstore had a 10% off on DVDs and Blu-rays thing going on, hence I had a look in that corner as well. I was originally planning to maybe get some mystery adaptation, especially older ones, but no luck on that front.
たのしいムーミン一家 | L24 (different version, but probably not too different, for all it says they made the language more accessible/modern with this re-release. So I didn’t bother requesting a new version)
マスカレード・イブ | L29 (it was just sitting there for 110¥, what was I supposed to do? Wait? 
)

The other one, 累(かさね) is an adaptation from the manga, I expect. Only read 3 volumes so far, but I liked those a lot.
