Yes, same here!
Same here. I wouldn’t be able to alloy tons of time to it, but I’m on here often enough anyways.
Would feel good to pay some back!
Joining the chorus of happy to help with approval mods
hmm being an approval mod could get expensive …
suddenly discovering more new books one might need to purchase ![]()
I already have that problem just looking at the activity feed. ![]()
I usually have mine set to Me, and totally forgot you can see other people’s ![]()
now we know what really happened to Brandon… ![]()
he was too busy reading all the new stuff and had to catch up on all the new books before shopping again working on more backlog ![]()
Book data fixes (e.g. editing junk out of title strings, fixing inconsistent author names, perhaps fixing up broken/misfiled series info) might also be farmable out to moderators ?
Yep, for sure. Another good one would be converting a book to a series or updating legacy series pages to be syncable since older pages don’t allow that.
Similarly manually creating series. Occasionally books aren’t in Amazon as a series (usually older/not available in Kindle books).
Yes allowing certain admins from the community ability to change data would be wonderful and the first major priority, along with more automated handling ![]()
And all these volunteers, amazing!! Thank you all xD
I’d be too afraid of screwing something up… possibly have levels community handling? Something to consider anyone that is approved could help clear backlog of added books. But then another level of users advanced to do all the extra stuff, convert to series, etc… Just some random ideas
This would be nice! There are books I have that are physical and avail on other sources like CDJapan but not on amazon and they cannot be added ![]()
What @shitsurei was saying wouldn’t impact those, unfortunately. The issue they’re referring to is stuff like ex コミック百合姫 - which is on Amazon, but the monthly issues don’t have a series pg of their own on Amazon. So they needed one manually created. Or something like 『人斬り』少女、公爵令嬢の護衛になる | L28 which has vol 1-2, but somehow vol 3 was never added to the series page on Amazon, so it won’t be listed there on Natively either.
I agree it would be nice to have import for non-Amazon books too, eventually.
Yeah I know what was meant. I have some that were originally a single vol and then later supposed to be a series. I also have some books that are still available on CD Japan but not avail or in the amazon directory anymore…
it would be really nice to have those … ideally one’s entire library would be sooooo nice…(mine is almost complete though)
but how would one add the dojins ![]()
Where there’s a will there’s a way, eh? Maybe Melon books or some other site has an API or something… Or there could be a request form where you put in all the relevant details? Idk. Probably something to make a Product Request out of
hahaha I was mostly kidding…
though it would be pretty awesome to have some sort of custom add feature for stuff that is outside of any sort of commercial publications - would see this as very low priority though, compared with having community librarians to offload Brandon’s plate.
some of my library might already be a bit past the fine art stage ![]()
… can’t even imagine adding the dojins ![]()
Trying to add 劇場版「鬼滅の刃」無限城編 | L27 as EN Subs on mobile, and nothing happens when I tap the Update button. Tried No Subs as well, and it’s still not working. May be related to the Total Runtime being listed as 0 Min. But others have added and reviewed it previously
I can add it fine if it’s from the menu, rather than the Basic Info dialogue. Also updating the Progress via the Dashboard dialogue works fine too. I managed to get it to EN subs from there, but the page went blank afterwards, and I had to refresh.
Also neither the movie page, nor the series page (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Collection | L27-30??) has a sync button right now (on Chrome mobile)
This is also happening on Firefox (both on Android and Linux). It seems to be happening to all movies, but TV shows appear to be unaffected. It is also happening to certain book series, but not others.
Some affected book series are listed below. I don’t immediately see any common thread between the series that are missing the sync button.
Also happy to contribute to moderating if you still have a need after all those offers ![]()
found a possible bug? At one point got an error “issue with our servers” but don’t have a screen grab - not sure
I finished reading this today:
Normally I’d click finish but found the physical copy I have is 242 pages instead of the 234 that’s in the record so I updated but tried various things, adding/deleting the record from the data. Setting it to reading and changing the page count but nothing would give me the typical “and finished” that I usually see.
separate example from a book finished yesterday:

For this book I just get
![]()
Not sure if it’s the updating the page numbers or if it’s something else. It’s not a big deal the book seems to be marked as finished but it seems new/different.
