Site seems to be having some excessively slow speeds in the last hour or so. Forums have been fine though
Yes, my dashboard e.g. needs 10 seconds, my book list needs 24 seconds to show.
Same here. Thought it was only my internet connection ![]()
Same for me, though the slow speeds were occurring about 6 hours ago or so, then have been fine since. (Probably just because I’d cached anything necessary by that point; haven’t closed out my browser.)
@brandon When you get a chance, please update the forum. iOS 26 has completely busted the editor and it’s been (mostly) fixed in a more recent version of Discourse.
Roger this everyone @eefara @mic @暁のルナ @Makochou, we did have some slow downs in the last 24hrs not quite sure why! Looking into.
@seanblue initiated an update now, thanks for noting!
Apologies for the forum outage! There were issues with updating, all good now though. Let me know if you still hit issues @seanblue
Much better, thanks!
In this screenshot, why does it think I read a sequence of sessions up to p181, and then somehow the last session started at p90 rather then 181 ? Is it going to double count pages read?
Hmm, interesting. You can always edit that too. For your bulk metrics we don’t rely on the session data, that’s just for your graphs on pages read monthly / yearly etc. We do have logic to make sure we don’t double count as much as possible for those too, but it’s obviously better to have clean data. Intriguing though it starts at 90…
Yeah, I went in and edited that record in the editor, but it seems odd that it got that starting page value from somewhere.
I do record reading sessions from multiple devices, but I assume that’s supposed to work and you don’t need to reload the webpage to make sure it’s in sync with the most recent update.
Sorry for kind of beating a dead horse, but what exactly is going on with new media submissions? There’s still a lot of anime that started airing in July that don’t come up in searches for me, like CITY THE ANIMATION S1 | L28 .
It seems there’s been a focus on fixing technical issues recently, and I understand how important that can be, but I also want to underscore how inconvenient the current state of new entries is (especially as a more casual Natively user). Plus, if people end up adding shows months after they’ve finished actually watching them, that could potentially make gradings less accurate.
I am guessing the issue you described is totally unrelated to this, right?
I’ve been having this for days but no one’s made any comment about it.
That might be a result of the update that was in response to that issue, if it’s only in the last 10 days?
Still pretty strange
There’s some stuff that’s been weird for me lately: emoji sizing, text in backticks sizing, spoiler tags don’t work for multiple paragraphs anymore (you have to tag each paragraph), ey - but it’s the same over at WK forums, so I assume those are just recent discourse “features” / poor choices rather than technical errors
Paragraph one. Blah blah.
Paragraph two. Lorem ipsum and all that.
Seems to still work. You need to make sure the spoiler open and close tags are on their own line and not on the same line as the paragraph text for them to work across multiple paragraphs, but that’s always been true.
What does seem to have changed for the worse is the comment editor – I can’t find a way to get it to do “show just the markup source view, in the whole width of the window” – the choices seem to be either WYSIWYG full width or else a split markup plus rendered view ![]()
EDIT: ah, you can, it’s just the UI is non obvious – there’s a << icon bottom right to toggle full width.
Hmmm maybe I just rarely do it, so I didn’t realize that. It’s unintuitive tho cuz using the menu in discourse puts it on the same line. I guess by the time I want multi-paragraph I end up using details tag instead generally.
Oh interesting, I always want the split view, so I can make sure I got the formatting on stuff right, didn’t mess up tags, etc. and for some reason reading the preview version helps me find typos or revisions I’d miss in the editor version.
Make sure you’re in markdown mode and not the new real time editor.
Yup, always am. WYSIWIG drives me a little crazy
Unfortunately (at least for me) the problem is back, e.g. for the series: 私を喰べたい、ひとでなし S1 | L24
…and meanwhile four more.
on the note of this one: the manga series sync is at least three days behind right now and at least eleven entries on my profile have not currently been updated with the new information inputted over the page ![]()
would it be possible for you to attempt to manually restart the sync and find out what’s going on?
