Product Updates & Casual Natively Discussion

Well that’s disappointing! What’s your antivirus? I’m not sure what they mean by url phishing… i usually associate that with emails.

I’ve triggered another discourse update, maybe that will solve it.

In other news - the post processing is mostly done, but i’m continuing to validate that everything worked correctly. If you find any issues relating to grading & difficulty ratings, let me know!

Edit: and sorry @MintTea, I will try to look into that soon

I am currently having the similar problems with Norton on mobile. But after two confirmations that “yes I want to visit this website anyway” it stopped warning me for now.

Avast. I’ve added the site/forums to a whitelist, so I can access as normal now.

Ok - if you wouldn’t mind submitting a false positive report, it’ll help too! False Positive File Form

Ugh. I’ll have to look into this then

Strange this is happening all of a sudden and only on the subdomain forums

So, I was able to grade during the cleanup and realized something is wrong only after some time passed and there was no end to the gradings.
I don’t know if these gradings count but I wanted to delete them anyway from my history. But I can’t.

And I have two different versions of my number of gradings now:

I have now fixed this. I’ll check into the deletion issue tomorrow, thanks for reporting!

I confirm that numbers look fine now.
But after the fix Norton once again started to worry about my safety

Anyway, thank you!

Not sure if it’s just because I had an ungraded manga smack-bang in the middle of my common level range, but the last manga I graded had me grade it 35 times after the update…

Avast has fixed the problem. :+1:

Thank you for reporting this false positive.

We have now cleared its reputation in our database based on the findings and removed the detection. This change may take up to 24 hours to take full effect. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience caused.

I got a similar message from Malwarebytes today. There’s something about the forum that triggers every malware protection all of a sudden.

I had to unblock because I couldn’t even reply properly, but I wonder what it is they’re finding dangerous…

Discourse has plugins, I think? If Natively has a plugin that’s been flagged it may be causing it, and why it’s not happening on WK. I think only Brandon can see those, though.

Not a plugin. Natively itself is blocked too now:

CRDF is now flagging. Yesterday it was Avira

CRDF tells you exaclty nothing, though…

“well known”???
Natively is notorious! :smiling_imp:

In my Norton case, it was site+forum from the start.
But similarly to Avast, reporting it actually worked:

Dear Customer,
This is an important message from Norton Safe Web. We have recently re-evaluated the contents of https://learnnatively.com/.
The website rating is successfully changed.
For details about this site report, you can go to: Safeweb
Thank You!

Well, i’ve logged a forum post to get that removed

I’ve logged a false positive report and received confirmation that our site has been removed from Avira’s flagged list.

Excellent, thank you !!

I’m not entirely sure what happened here. Since everyone seems to immediately remove when I file the false positive, I do wonder if some site accidentally flagged it which lead to a bunch of others flagging it… I wonder how tightly connected they all are

In any case, if people hit any other issues than the ones that have been listed here, let us know! If possible, log a false positive report, it’d really help

Edit: @omk3 I got a response from Malwarebytes saying that it’ll be removed. Let me know if you see different!

I’m getting an error when I try to view pages read on my stats page (can change weeks/months/years okay, and videos seems unaffected):

I’m able to view your page stats, maybe just a passing fluke?
