It’s pretty subtle, and I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen anyone say out loud they’ve been doing that before, so I’d say you’re all good.
I’m not even sure if/how I should be using them. Like, it would make sense to me if all the picks got tagged with the club that birthed them, but that’s not the case, it’s just the title of the pick, so I just use the “bookclub” tag and that’s it since all of them are single-thread only
When I started the mystery club it was the only one I could, moving forward, tag them “mystery-bookclub” or something. It’s a fix that’s very dependent on having users do it themselves though, and the more friction introduced into the process the more intimidating (and less enjoyable) spinning up clubs become, especially for people who haven’t done it before.

I am at a lowly 257. How did you even do that?
The key is depth, not breadth. Making sure all of an authors books are accounted for takes up a lot of bulk.
My Spanish textbooks are all teaching from French, not English. Same with Korean. So should I add them to Natively or not?
I’m going to go with ‘no’ for now. I got a lot on my plate at the moment trying to manage the new auto upload process and all the data that’s coming in.
Eventually, i’d love to handle those, but I think having potentially multiple versions of the same Spanish textbook in different languages requires us to surface the book language in a reasonable way.
Anyone else hitting website slowness?? It’s strange, my monitoring say there’s no issue, but i’m hitting issues
Responsiveness feels ok to me though
The site feels a bit sluggish (every page or link followed takes a noticeable fraction of a second to load and render) but not to a level that I would have thought "this is definitely a site issue I should report '.
It was lagging a tiny bit a couple days ago, but everything is fine now.
Great, thanks all! That is inline with my monitoring systems at least. Strange i’m having such issues, but glad to know it’s somewhat isolated . (and it’s taking some pages 10-30 seconds to load… so you’d know…)
Edit: FWIW it seems to be a connection issue for me. All my connections to the natively servers were ‘stalling’ and not even making the request for some reason. It may be an issue with a router cache or something because once I switched to a VPN, the connections stopped stalling. Very odd, but at least not an issue with the site!
@brandon Do you get publisher information from Amazon? If so, it would nice to display that information and more importantly allow us to search by that in search and filter by that on lists. If that’s something you think is feasible let me know and I’ll write up a formal request.
On a mostly unrelated note, I’m rereading こみっくがーるず (series) | L24 from the beginning (and then plan to read the volumes I haven’t yet) and my previous gradings gave it a 29 which was way too high. I deleted some clearly wrong gradings and it went down to 22, probably because I didn’t have any gradings where it was harder so the algorithm didn’t know what to do. That felt too low so I decided to delete (nearly) all my gradings for it and start from scratch, and now it’s at 24. Clearly I don’t know what I’m doing, so someone else should read and grade it so my opinion isn’t the only one used.
(Yes, this is what prompted my request, because I’d love a convenient way to see the difficulty levels for all the Kirara manga on my list.)
You know, I thought i was pulling it, but it seems like it’s not working. It is there… I’ll start pulling it.
Hopefully someone comes to the rescue
You want a product request?
Nah, it’s a one liner, no need. Thanks for the offer!
It’s a one-liner to also add it to search and list filter?
Ah right of course. No
That is worthy of a product request…
I’m seeing a couple of small label issues in the graphs under the stats page for videos. For the first (‘over time’) graph, when I have it set to episode view, the y axis is labeled ‘mins’ instead of something like ‘eps’, although it is correctly displaying the number of episodes/movies:
For the third (‘level over time’) graph, the y-axis is labeled as ‘pgs’ whether episodes or hours is selected:
