So, am I the only one reading? I’ll read on regardless but idk if I should keep posting frankly.

Sentence that caused me a lot of confusion because I didn’t have my glasses on and read ぬ as め.
Yue and MC head to school in the evening to investigate the skeleton rumor. As I said I lost some focus toward the end of the last section so I feel a bit lost. It sems like…the mc has hid a mouse inside the skeletons head in hopes it will move its jaw when they check it? But the mouse has tragically fallen asleep when they are there? Tomoya tries to bang on the glass to wake the mouse up but it alerts someone in the school inside so they run away. In the end the skull didn’t move but Yue garciously forgives him, because they had fun. At that point they realize they passed the last bus and it takes about 2 hours to walk home
There is a lot of little choices in this path and one of them is ditching Yue to stay at Shin’s house. What a dick move, leaving your female friend to walk home in the middle of the night alone. Ofc I didn’t chose it and the scene ended with them heading home on foot.
This section was pretty fun and for the first time I feel like we are in Yue route proper. A bit odd the guide would have you skip this part completely.

Oof. Tho part of the fun of games can be getting to do messed up stuff that you’d never do IRL, for funsies / to see just why they gave you that option. Plus you’ve said the MC is kinda mean to her in various places. So I guess that’s consistent. I wonder if there’s an actual game reason why the guide suggests skipping it. Sometimes choice logic makes no damn sense

I’m same as @yukitanuki in this case. Tbh I’m enjoying your comments more than I enjoyed the VN itself. That said, if you are the only one and don’t want to keep posting, we can declare the VN over for club purposes, and you can just enjoy on your own.

Book club participation everywhere in the forums is down it seems. I’m not surprised (and don’t begrudge) people dropping out as its natural. VNs are more of a niche than manga nad novels, so makes sense it’d be hit hardest.
Honestly kind of sad for the book clubs in general. I don’t particularly care to make the shift to WK, I prefer smaller forums. But the VN club probably would also have more success there.
If other people are reading I’ll keep posting, otherwise, well I might still keep posting but not certain.

Still working through it. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to say, because the VN has been pretty mid so far. @earwen is going ham and basically writing a whole LP for it, but I’m not that eloquent, haha. I’ll try to be more active though.

VN Club did kinda die a bit before that trend, and as @Naphthalene mentioned elsewhere there have been far fewer new members to the forums this year, in particular
Seemingly a number of us misjudged this VN when we voted - so I don’t think the general trend is at fault here. But it’s true we (and other clubs) had way higher numbers earlier on
The VN clubs there don’t seem like they’re doing any better

I could make a post there for MemoriesOff if you want. Tbh I think it might be a good match for that crowd, given the easier level (there is a higher concentration of earlier learners there, though many intermediate and advanced as well)

I find it hard to find the right balance with clubs tbh. I like that very detailed posting, and - especially if it’s a low activity club - feel like I should post like that… But it can make participation or catching up kinda burdensome… Which I guess I should keep in mind for future clubs (of any sort)
Small, general comments still help keep things going, and sometimes spark more discussion fwiw

Yeah I also post like that because I enjoy reading posts like that. But I don’t want it to be intimidating to participate either.

Do you have a guess for what the Natively level equivalent might be? I’m somewhere in L22-26? But you’ve read more, and my sense for those levels is iffy

oh that makes more sense, in that case I think it’d make sense to inform people at least.
I would put it at level 24-25? The difficulty is the occasional tangents the mc gets on and sometimes jokes that go over my head, neither of which feel too essential.

Honestly, I kinda find every other heroine more interesting (at least potentially) than Yue, so it’s really hard to ignore them and make Yue-centric choices, lol. If I were playing blind, I would most certainly veer off into some other route. While Yue is not bad per se, I get the feeling like “okay, this is going to be a shunned childhood friend route - nothing surprising here”.

read 10/9 and there is a scene where mc keeps insisting to give chewing gum to a cat despite Yue explaining they cant eat it. he even thinks to himself he will give it when yue isnt around. what is his problem. this is genuinely annoying me lol…why???

I just noticed that there are several Memories Off VNs on Jiten (this one included), so you could use those stats to help estimate the difficulty.
