I’ve been debating on getting them, since I do plan to buy the remaining physicals at some point.
I’m a huge SAO otaku, and while there’s a lot the anime does well, the LNs add a lot of depth and characterization that gets totally lost in the anime. I’m sure you’ll enjoy when you get there 
I’m going to have to put them on ice for a while unfortunately. They’re level 34 and I"m around level 24.
I have made an exception and attempted stuff way above my level before - I read the first Danmachi which I think was around lvl28. I finished it but it took 100+hours over 3 months to get there. So I’ll level up a bit first.
ダンまち is L33 - so about the same difficulty. Definitely best to wait till you’re closer level. I’ve read a few, and it’s gotten progressively easier, but it’s still like 10-20 lookups per pg. They were actually the first LNs I tried to read (I didn’t get too far lol)
Btw if you have Audible JP, there is an audiobook for book 1 now. So that might be helpful when you get around to them.

By the way, does anyone know why the 25th of June is 百合の日? I can’t goroawase 百合 with that date. Is it just random?

Well… after being unimpressed by the first volume of the manga, I was not planning to read the LN… but it’s free, so I will at least grab it.

I would probably not describe it as actually yuri. Lots of hints and blushing, but nothing more so far.
I’ll keep in mind, tho it has a yuri/GL tag pretty much anywhere I looked, so I assume that will get stronger development eventually
That’s because people get carried away with calling things yuri, in my opinion. I’ve read all four volumes that have been released so far.
It’s still a fun series and worth reading, but if you go in expected relationship development or anything like that you’ll probably be disappointed. Just my opinion though, so YMMV.
Ehhh, it has the tag even on Bookwalker and JP Wikipedia, and in the actual JP synopsis (eBook Japan and Amazon (I can’t check Nico Nico rn, bc it’s down for maintenance).
