Hey, I tried to add a new tag, but I’m not sure, if it works like that, so I decided to just post here
Pleeeaaaaase give me a “Slime” tag! I’m in love with cute slimes and usually can’t resist when a slime is involved. Any manga would benefit from slimes, but since not all manga contain slimes (weird, I know!) a tag would be great
Just added it. Has to be approved, though. If not the tagged series/books will loose it again. But you can already use the tag. There will be no difference, though, whether the slime is an actual character or just a “victim“ in some dungeon.
Thanks for the adding and the approving I also appreciate talking about the slime tag in the recommendations thread, so many slime manga and some of them I didnt even know yet!
That is my understanding of the term, yes. Though, I personally don’t mind if an anthology gets labelled as short story collection, since I can see by the author being multiple ppl that the short stories will not be by 1 author.
I’m one of the people who helps manage tags and I can say I didn’t remove it nor do I see it as a tag pending approval. I don’t have visibility into if something was deleted by someone else, though.
Suggesting a film or cinema content tag for works about film and cinema in some way, eg a manga about a film club at school that actually discusses films. And probably Goodbye Eri, etc. (As distinct to the Theatre tag which is more about stage acting)
Wanted to suggest slightly altering the tag definition for the Cat, Dog, and Bird tags so that they read more like “Property involves one or multiple (insert animal here)”. The “book” element within its current definition feels weird when you’re tagging an anime or movie with any of these three tags.
btw suggested similar tags for Foxes and Tanuki considering how often they pop up in Japanese media a few minutes ago, if they get approved feel free to change their description to match the above as I didn’t think about how awkward the whole “book” thing was until I submitted them.
Just remove the first word, and leave it agnostic: “Involves one or multiple [insert animal here]” - tags descriptions are generally worded like that iirc
btw on the topic of animal tags was also thinking about adding a Bear and a Wolf tag since I see both often enough in anime, manga, and children’s books for them to get their own tag but idk if Wolf is already covered by Dog or not. Thoughts? and are there any other animals people think pop up enough to get their own tags?
Does the “Adaptation” tag only apply to direct adaptations of the original story, or also things like spin-offs that are part of the same series but in a different medium?
Started reading the 逆転裁判 | L28 (Ace Attorney) series of chapter books, and since the stories are new and not taken directly from the games, “Novelization” seems like it would be too narrow to apply, but I’m not sure “Adaptation” would be the right tag to use instead
