I think this seems necessary for collaborative lists (but also useful for personal lists) to see what items have been added/removed and any changes in descriptions.
An “undo” option would also be useful to include: I’ve accidentally deleted items from a list and it’s a bit of a pain to add them back again if you can’t remember the title (not to mention if you’ve included information in the item description that’s gone with no way to retrieve it).
