I will generally copy this information over thread to thread each week for ease of finding - you can always expect the schedule at the top of any weekly thread :slight_smile:

  • Any reveals, for the current chapters must be behind spoilers or detail curtains. When we get further in you don’t need to hide details that were revealed in previous chapters.
  • Questions on vocab, grammar, nuance, and the like are both welcome and encouraged. If you’re not sure if it’s a spoiler, assume it is and use one of the above options to hide the text.
  • You are encouraged to speculate and guess wildly
  • Be kind about other peoples’ wild guesses :sparkling_heart:
  • Even if you don’t read the chapter(s) in time, you are still encouraged to post in the thread for that reading once you have finished it. I advise not reading ahead in the threads as you may see spoilers.

@cat , you mentioned the SM vibes during the first week. This is, indeed, getting kinkier and kinkier Our lady-thief’s fascination with 早苗, the part about the fascination with death and dying young, the very suspicious job proposition (both at first when 葉子 thinks she’ll have to sell herself, and even more when she’s dressed up as …. A perfect replica of somebody else) …

I can understand why right-thinking parents wouldn’t let their children read that !

(I love it though !)

And of course, I’d be very surprised if 不良老人 didn’t turn out to be a certain she …

Just finished this week. 37 minutes into the 3rd video for anyone using the playlist!

Oh my gosh I noticed that! She said something about 早苗 being too pretty to not steal or something and I was like :eyes: oh my.

Also I was going back and forth in my head as to whether the old man was 明智 or 黒蜥蜴 but given our sudden duplicate lady I’m leaning towards the later. It also seems she’s replicating 早苗 possibly judging by the clothes and glasses? So we’re likely to have some interesting switcheroos going on soon
