I might make it, but I might not! Trying to read 3 other books within 3 weeks before my Audible account is finished. Added pressure with the library due dates

I’m not going to make it, need another week. Save yourselves!

Well, the topic is generally interesting to me but there isn’t much narrative going on to keep my attention. The main feature is the artwork and science, not the story. As the series seemed to have continued into multiple volumes, I wonder if the story part picks up in vol 2+, or does it continue to feature one animal per chapter?

I’ve read volume two; it does continue with the one animal per chapter flow (though there is an animal that gets two chapters in book two), and it does continue to introduce new characters. How much they’ll be around for chapters to come I can’t say, but it’s probably safe to say there won’t be much of a traditional overarching narrative.

Do you want to read volume 3?

Maybe; honestly, if news of the upcoming English localization is true, I’ll almost certainly buy the series in English. I’m actually a bit of a sucker for educational animal manga, so they’ll go nicely with my other books.

Finished this one, slightly late. Very minor plot going on at the end.

For the sake of the series I hope that there is some love interest or real danger, not just slow career ladder progression working at an aquarium. As for educational science books, I think that the Survival series is better with huge color pages, humor, and some action going on.

What series is this?

There are a bunch of different Survival series themes, this is just the space one.
