  • Any reveals, for the current chapters must be behind spoilers or detail curtains. When we get further in you don’t need to hide details that were revealed in previous chapters.
  • Questions on vocab, grammar, nuance, and the like are both welcome and encouraged. If you’re not sure if it’s a spoiler, assume it is and use one of the above options to hide the text.
  • You are encouraged to speculate and guess wildly
  • Be kind about other peoples’ wild guesses :sparkling_heart:
  • Even if you don’t read the chapter(s) in time, you are still encouraged to post in the thread for that reading once you have finished it. I advise not reading ahead in the threads as you may see spoilers.

I find that the author likes to write long paragraphs stating the obvious. Nothing much this week. And I’m surprised that they didn’t try harder to leave asap

Quite. However… the book has started to grow on me, possibly because everyone looks as lost as I feel. And even though I’m sure it will end up in an “aha !” moment with a completely unbelievable mathematics/physics trick, I rather like that Towada looks as lost as everyone else !

Okay the only cool part of this week was 魑魅魍魎.
四匹鬼⁇ ➞ 天官赐福 reference ➞ imma go read it, still need to finish book 1
Had to google japanese counter for 鬼 lol bc in Chinese it’s 个/只 and 匹 is mostly used for horses/mules and bolts of cloth

I was late finishing this week because I was bored out of my mind reading it :sob: I especially can’t stand the politician, his way of talking felt so long winded and tedious. I am trusting you all in saying it gets better next week!
