I just finished https://learnnatively.com/book/c25baa24d8/ and it was amazing. It’s probably the best Yuri manga I’ve ever read (arguably, I haven’t read that many, but still).
I loved the relationship, I loved the characters, the topics were really relatable (at least, they were treated in a way that match my experience BUT everything ends well, so it’s extra great).
There was no cliffhanger or anything, so I don’t feel like rushing with it, but I’m definitely going to continue this series.
I’ve started reading manga 病月,
and just now realized the 2nd vol is not on natively. I am fairly certain I set it as series but just checked and it isn’t set as a series in amazon. I submitted a report but I assume those aren’t looked at until we get the librarians role at this point.
This bothers me more than it should becauset he manga is also not on my primary listing site myanimelist, which I added there also but they have a backlog of 7000 something manga that needs approval.

Not being able to log it anywhere shouldn’t bother me as much as it does, as I can just keep a private log, but it does.
At any rate, it is written by mochi au lait, and drawn by an artist I’m not familiar with but has a very unique style. It is mostly silly right now but I looked through the second volume and looks like it gets actually pretty intense. I look forward to reading more.
I’ve also been reading visual novel マブラヴ, for the past few months, very slowly. Anytime I pick it up I would only read 1 day which took around 20-40 mins, and I only would pick it up 1 or 2 times a week. I finally reached the end of the common route (and got a generic end, but then reloaded) and now I’m on my first route, and going a bit faster since I want to reach my first proper end. Overall, I am enjoying it more than I thought, since muvluv is one of the games that supposedly “get good 50 hours in”.
Once I get a proper ending, I think I will pause it to start Flowers.
I hate publishers being inconsistent on Amazon. It even affects my Kindle books; some series will be mostly grouped together except for one or two random books from them.
Or worse, they’re not grouped together at all and I have 30 individual items clogging up my library.
Wish we had a thread for “quotes of the day” or something, because I instantly come here when I have one. Today I’m reading The Ring and:
Honestly me reading any sort of non-standard Japanese, too lazy to look it up
I wish I liked it better (bc I really see its strong points in the realism department, and think yuri could stand to have more stuff like this), but do plan to try volume 2 eventually
I’m like 1/2 awake, but btwn the description and just flipping through the previews, this looks fuuuuuuuun. Probably will read over the weekend
Oh dear, and hear I thought “gets good 5 episodes in” (葬送のフリーレン lol) was intense!
Oh right VN club is supposed to start that… Guess I make a thread and get started this weekend
Iirc the MCs also were not happy when they heard it, and finally they found someone who understood that dialect, no need to search it for yourself.
What dialect is it? Parts look similar but different to Kansai (it seems to be extending rather than contracting a lot of things, for one)
Sorry, I don’t remember.
It’s supposed to be an old woman talking, but as @mic said, the MC doesn’t seem to understand it or even immediately recognize it as a dialect. I haven’t reached the part where he finds out, so whatever guess I could give based on context is probably wrong ![]()
I LOVED LOVED LOVED the first visual novel. Made me feel like a proper lady in a boarding school, the artwork is sublime. I don’t know why but the sequel (Summer) lost a bit of the initial vibes, so I ended up pausing it early on, but I 100% recommend Spring
I’ve been re-reading Ruri Dragon since the 4th volume arrived but I’m half way through volume 3 and feel like I’ve missed a part that I was positive I had read in the 1st or 2nd volume the first time round.
Does anyone who’s read it remember a temple scene where Ruri speaks with her dad (he is in dragon form)?
I’m positive there is a scene, but cannot find it either when flicking through or re-reading it. ![]()
I didn’t read ruri dragon past vol 1 (yet) but you might be remembering this scene in the oneshot
I’ve read volumes 1 and 2, and I don’t remember such scene.
I have read Ruri Dragon volumes 1-3 and most of vol 4 today and nope, the spoiler thing didn’t happen in the series.
But I am VERY curious now.
While we’re at it - the series seems to not have Sync button on the site? ルリドラゴン | L22
If it didn’t happen in the series at all according to people who read it you definitely are remembering the one shot because it does happen there. The series is a reboot of the oneshot, so it is pretty similiar to a point. Who knows if it will also happen in the series or not.
The series might’ve been added a) before Sync buttons were a thing on the sight and/or b) as a standalone volume and not a series, and for whatever reason the Sync button wasn’t added when volumes 2+ were added.
If you add something when there’s only one volume, even if you say it’s a series, the system will add it as a standalone. Even if it gets turned into a series later, it doesn’t get the sync button (I think).
I recently tried to bypass that by adding the next volume directly, saying it’s a series, but that made a whole new series instead, thus duplicating the first volume ![]()
I haven’t read the one shot (didn’t know there was one
) but now I wonder if that was what they voiced in the YouTube video I watched a while back to get an audio of it.
It must be from the one shot then. I thought I had imagined it when I didn’t see it on this read through ![]()
That was really confusing me to no end
I’m fairly sure that scene was in the VC then, cuz it definitely rings a bell, and also explains why there were multiple different VCs for the beginning of the story
I’m not finding the playlist easily from my phone, but I saw a few vids from it when I searched
