始まっちゃた。。。I really like the language portion of it, since so far the Kansai shows I’ve checked out have had a more comedic tone (舞妓さんちのまかないさん being the exception)… also the lead being Stark’s VA
. I didn’t notice anything different from Osaka-ben in this episode, but I know from the 関西弁 - An attempt at dictionaring thread that there’s some stuff later. The psychological aspect is both interesting and uncomfortable. And, I’m really not enjoying the horror elements. I’ll stick it out for another episode or two though. Also I recognized the AKB48 song, from when I watched AKB0048 | L28 ![]()
Card Captor Sakura would be a better point of comparison. Sailor Moon is a really different vibe from those two. Also something like Fate/kaleid liner プリズマ☆イリヤ | L27 would be an interesting comparison… it’s very clearly lifting from CCS - though very different target audience, and deals with a lot deeper themes… (though it’s also kinda deranged and I don’t recommend it to anyone who isn’t already into Fate). It gets dark, but not in a cynical way like Madoka. I’m actually kinda considering rewatching CCS in the next few months
Also on mine for various reasons - but who knows when I’ll get to it
Ok this got me curious what’s out in Fall 2025… here’s what’s got my interest:
- https://learnnatively.com/season/aff8718433/ - my dear Ukyou is in this season, so it will be great (she’s like the only semi-normal love interest in the entire show, but also just awesome). Bonus points for the kansai dialect
- S2 is empty on tmdb, so it doesn’t import when I sync

- https://learnnatively.com/season/f1e482624c/ - this sort of youkai horror + yuri is the type I can get behind! I love the manga, and hope it’s a good adaptation
- 永久のユウグレ | L27 - interesting title, and concept?
- https://learnnatively.com/season/7e9746642b/ - haven’t read, but it seems fun - and also yuri
- しゃばけ | L30 - Edo period… seems hit or miss
Otherwise there’s a bunch of generic sounding fantasy and villainess ones that I’d consider if someone else said they’re interesting
