I went for the half-dropped option. But I define finishing also as officially DNFing… if you don’t want to finish your half-dropped books, drop them fully, imo. It frees up space in your head. That poll seems very overwhelming to me.
And that’s why you choose CHAOS. Discourse poll limit options hasn’t been reached.
Discourse
Tho discord has polls these days too…
I finished 乙女男子に恋する乙女 | L26 but I’m still in the mood for more genderbend / crossdressing manga. Help me choose from these three.
- ぜんぶきみの性 5
- 恋する(おとめ)の作り方 1
- 現実もたまには嘘をつく 1
- Other (please leave comment)
You probly saw this already, but fwiw I thought 恋する乙女 1 was okay, but not interesting enough to continue. Tho it’s kinda interesting if you want to get cosmetics vocab
現実もたまには嘘をつく sounds pretty interesting from the anilist synopsis. No idea about it otherwise tho
Yeah, I saw your review (including the spoiler because the spoiler tags don’t work in the collapsed view ). I’ll probably still check it out at some point even if it doesn’t win the poll.
spoiler tags not working
Ahh I thought @brandon had worked that out previously. The problem there afaict is that the closing </Spoiler>
tag is later than whatever the cutoff is for. So when the text gets processed, it’s not finding the closing tag, and thus doesn’t process it as a spoiler (rather than auto-closing the hanging tag, which is how a browser would handle it). Are you looking at it on mobile by any chance?
They also don’t work in Firefox right now (along with ruby tags), but that’s seemingly related to the recent updates. I feel kinda odd about that, since a lot of my reviews contain spoiler tags , and I’ve definitely spoilered myself (but if it bothered me that much, I’d switch browsers). That said, I also kinda wonder if I spoiler tag things more than I need to…
Cool If you get past vol 1, I’d be curious to hear how it goes. ともかく I thought ぜんぶきみの性 5-7 were excellent, so it definitely gets my vote!
Short explanation before the poll:
-
治癒魔法の間違った使い方, finished the anime, interested in seeing how it continues. Unlikely the anime will get very far. The series is already finished for what it seems in LN form.
-
TRPGプレイヤーが異世界で最強ビルドを目指す 1 , Would be going completely blind
-
ノーゲーム・ノーライフ 1, Wathced and liked the anime, started reading the English novel and gave up on Yenpress after disappointing delays after delays.
-
この素晴らしい世界に祝福を (1), Similar, love the anime, liked a lot the light novels, started reading them in English (fan translation mind you), eventually the translation quality started going down and figured out I’d check it properly a second time in the future.
Poll:
Well, that was an easy choice. Reading the ノーゲーム・ノーライフ light novels in Japanese is one of my goals.
Well, if we had another interested we could probably even do an informal book club even.
Ah, sorry - not in the next two years for me. I want to be able to enjoy it, and L36 would be too much of a struggle for that in the near future. I’m planning to read it when I can read L36 with relative ease (like a L22 for me right now, which isn’t easy, but not a huge struggle either), and that’ll take a looooong time
Fair point, is probably above my level too.
Well, considering that I hated the LN (dropped after 3 volumes), I assume our tastes don’t overlap enough, so I won’t vote.
Just a warning that TRPGプレイヤーが異世界で最強ビルドを目指す 1 ~ヘンダーソン氏の福音を~ | L40 is quite hard. The author drops the flowery style from volume 2, but he uses it quite a lot in volume 1 (including the introduction, way to sucker punch learners).
Well, I haven’t even tried the JP, it would surprise me if I didn’t like them since I liked the fan translation, but who knows.
Yeah, you mentioned it before. It kinda sucks to have to read 2 volumes to see if it’s doable for me.
I’m going to close the poll and try going for 治癒魔法の間違った使い方. Thanks for the votes / feedback.
I read the first volume and feel the same way you did. It was enjoyable enough and nothing particularly wrong with it, but I’m not interested enough to keep going. I even looked at the volume 2 preview to see if it would spark any interest, but it didn’t.
Also finished these. Volumes 5 and 6 were good, solid 4/5 stars at about the same quality of volumes 1-4. The final volume was definitely better and I really liked the ending.
Bingo next read help please
I know nothing about it, but I am from Bretagne, so let’s go.
It might be because that’s how I select books that I end up reading so much garbage…
That’s actually a cool way to select things though lol
You can compare things you know and are familiar with to the plot, plus if there are castles that you know of that pop up in the story that’s even better
