Considering picking up an LN
- 薬屋のひとりごと 1 | L37 - I’m 40% in already. Vocab is not super relevant, unless/until I continue this series or pick up ふつつかな悪女ではございますが ~雛宮蝶鼠とりかえ伝~ | L35
- 転生王女と天才令嬢の魔法革命 5 | L32 - I like the politics, world building, magic, characters, etc. Paused after vol 4, bc I found the writing of certain relationships and the consent model very disappointing. Has excellent audiobook, so would double as listening practice
- 声優ラジオのウラオモテ #06 夕陽とやすみは大きくなりたい? | L28 - I wanna know just how far their relationship actually progresses, as the volumes go on. It’s fun & relaxing, and I could finish it quickly enough

Okay, I’ve got two books left for my bingo, and wanted to see opinions on which I should read first.
- 伯爵と妖精 あいつは優雅な大悪党 | L30 : Fantasy LN about a young lady who can see fairies who’s kidnapped by a guy who says he’s an earl and needs her help recovering a treasured sword that can prove his status.
- 木洩れ日に泳ぐ魚 | L32 : Former Mystery Book Club pick. A man and a woman are breaking up after a hiking trip in which their guide mysteriously died, and each believes the other is the murderer. The book takes place over one day, and each wants the other to confess before the night is up.

木洩れ is a trip to read. Like absolutely engrossing but also kind of infuriating at times? It’s definitely not a classic mystery in any sense, it’s more just vibes and madness. I recommend it wholeheartedly if the previous sentences did not make that obvious

Looks like 伯爵と妖精 あいつは優雅な大悪党 | L30 ended up with a pretty solid lead, though 木洩れ日に泳ぐ魚 | L32 didn’t do too bad itself! 伯爵と妖精 is currently #2 in the LN club’s next book vote, so if I can just will it to #1 then I can be both a responsible club and bingo reader.

This was the first MBC book I didn’t read through, which was a huge bummer at the time because it looked so interesting. (I did read the next book, medium. My punishment from the reading gods?
