Due to inconsistent listings on vendors and different ingestion times, I’ve noticed an author who is split in two, because some listings used a space between first and last names, and some listings did not:
I guess the easiest way would be for Japanese/Chinese names to be compared in a normalised no spaces when checking for an existing author to link books to?
A perennial problem, since Amazon’s data is inconsistent for many authors. You can request fixes for individual authors via the item feedback links, but it’s a game of whackamole.
Somewhat related, it would be helpful to have actual author pages. Currently author links just go to search results like https://learnnatively.com/search/jpn/books/?q=%E5%90%89%E5%B1%8B%20%E4%BF%A1%E5%AD%90&series=series - which mostly works, but some authors pick stupidly generic and short pennames (sometimes even a single kanji) that will result in a ton of unrelated hits
