Spoilers should always be hidden using spoiler blur.
When discussing a specific section, please mention where you are in the book, ideally by chapter so people reading different versions have a clear point of reference.
Feel free to read ahead if it’s exciting, but please refrain from spoiling ahead of the appropriate week.

What is this about Katarina and toilets? Toilet emergencies seem to be the key in her friend-making ways.
A sweetheart like Sofia needs someone to attend places with her and gets bad rumors about her for very different from you, Katarina… She’s a sweet innocent baby and not a disaster like you…
Anyway, we got Sofia!
And I guess Nicole too, is the way to his heart is through his sister mwahahaha.
I’m almost certain it’s a typo. In very informal speech, you can double the ない for emphasis (I’m pretty sure it’s considered incorrect though, the same way young people incorrectly say すごい+adjective instead of すごく+adjective), but that’s not the vibe I get from this sentence.
Got to the second ***** break… this is a long chapter!!
Is it going to be the first one where we get new story beyond backstory in the second half? I feel like we’re already done with what happened in Katarina’s pov…
I was thinking it would maybe be from Nicol(e?)'s pov but a peek at the first paragraph doesn’t seem like it is.. a question to be solved later I guess
Edit: whoops, I think I stopped at the wrong **** before I wrote my week 7 comments; was week 7 supposed to end at the second **** @Naphthalene?
Week 7
And thus the circle of friends grows bigger. I wonder how many love interests there are that Katarina never got to in the original game?
Also, I was getting some yuri vibes out of all these “deep friendship between girls” books Katarina’s been reading. Not that I’m surprised, given メアリ’s rather subtle “I would totally marry you if I were a man” putting ideas in my head, haha.
As always I enjoyed the third person’s perspective on Katarina gallantly dashing in to save the day, then gliding off into the sunset.
ソフィア: Wow, she’s so cool.
カタリナ: Oh god I need to pee, キース and my mom are gonna be so mad if I pee my pants.
Ah, no, it was supposed to be the first one I thought people would get there and naturally stop… I guess I should have made that clearer (I just didn’t expect people to keep going “just in case”, I guess)
Re: week 7
I 100% interpreted those as “publishable during that era” Yuri. I’m assuming some insane levels of undertones (and our girl Katarina missing everything as per usual)
Aside from the objective page count, I didn’t expect it to have 3 POVs. You feel the natural ending, but it’s not a chapter ending, it’s the stars, keep going. After Katarina’s POV I was very surprised we were still going haha.
This first volume so far feels like a prelude to the actual story. Like we get all the introductions to the various characters and an outline of how they are connected and how the world works, but not much plot so far… or is there just not much plot in this series?
No, it is indeed the prelude. Actual plot starts from next chapter (which I need to post, gah, almost forgot) if I remember correctly, but mostly starts from volume 2.
Oh my god, I just can’t. Yes Katarina, please protect poor キース from being seduced by another boy. I cannot wait to see what that looks like, I hope she’s serious about it. And Keith’s comment on the タラシ込む… do you really think your sister is capable of actively doing that, キース? Look deep in your heart and tell me.
Week 8
And that’s a wrap on this chapter. I’m curious if all of these boys will fall in romantic love with Katarina down the line, or if it’ll be different types of love per boy; if it’s the former, I can’t see how they’re going to navigate her being betrothed already. I doubt she could break the betrothal if she wanted to, given her fiance is a prince. (But then again, this is a fantasy world, so perhaps she could and not be destroyed socially if she wanted to?
Extra week 7 thoughts
Oh, and I forgot to mention it before, but I love how Katarina loves to read; I feel like all too often you have a tomboy like her who’d rather collect bugs than read, and I’m glad she doesn’t fall into that stereotype. Honestly, between the reading, socializing, farming, and sword and magic practice, she’s actually really well-rounded.
