Missing the audiobook option

I’m most likely going to read along the audiobook in digital though.

I am a simple person. I see poll, I click. But as usual my replies are not very helpful. :see_no_evil_monkey:

Just to double-check, are these from the digital edition? We should see if anyone has a physical edition to check from; digital page numbers are variable at best.

On another note, I’m undecided if I’ll join or not. I read the first couple of volumes in English some years ago and enjoyed them, but I don’t know if I enjoyed them enough to re-read volume 1 now. Will need to ponder further.

I’m similar..I’m planning on reading it #eventually (I got the first 3 volumes for free from Amazon back when free books was a thing that publishers were still doing..), so I already have the book. But honestly, I’m kinda more excited to carry on with Katarina and Shion than I am to start a new (long :face_without_mouth:) series… especially knowing that the story spans 2 volumes..

Decisions, decisions…

Make that three: I got the first volume for free a while ago, I have the audiobook and I enjoyed the anime a lot so I definitely want to read it eventually - but L32 is extremely hard for me (hardest I’ve ever read, actually) and if I want something hard in (light) novel form I feel like I should rather continue Silent Witch (or finally read Kino no Tabi 2).

Upd: edit, sorry if you saw it before, checked the wrong version

403 pages in physical. Basically the same.

I am binging those before the next book club starts…

Welp, I was trying to be reasonable and circumspect about adding book clubs to my already full roster, but then I tried reading the first chapter of the junior version on bookwalker. And I thought about how I’m trying to prioritize full-furigana books right now, when I can. And then I found myself browsing mercari … And I saw a REALLY GOOD DEAL on the first six junior editions (for like $10 dollars including the proxy fee) … Aaaaand now I guess I’m joining!

Now I guess I’ll be seeing if mercari also happens to carry timeturners …

Damn, I quickly browsed for deals and didn’t find that one

Nice catch.

I sense commitment in the air. I hope that means that the first chapter looked like lots of fun

If you want also commitment:

I see there indeed is a vol 2 reading thread in my close future.

I still need to get the books though, I wanted to do a read-along with the audiobook.

I browsed quickly mercari/rakuma but didn’t find anything for the physical, so I’ll go digital probably through Kobo so I can DeDRM and put it on my ebook app.

personally, I think audiobooks should come with free ebooks. :face_with_steam_from_nose:
(I also think that physical books should come with free or heavily discounted ebooks… like pay 1 dollar extra or something… :face_with_steam_from_nose:)

I would agree if I paid the full price. But for 4USD a pop I can’t complain .

Yes totally!

Shame I already shipped my stuff from the proxy service warehouse
Also I think one of the main books is divided in several Junior books, so you might need to read 4 to get to the same stopping point.

I think the first volume becomes two volumes. After that I’m not sure, but it should give me a pretty good idea if I want to invest into the grown up versions or not. ^^
