Done~ Aaaah, I’m already counting down the years until the next volume. :smiling_face_with_tear:

I choose to believe 元カレ exists as a dumping ground for all the negative feelings a reader might have, thereby allowing them to be filled with baby 種 happiness. There’s no other reason for him to show up as a blight on my reading. :triumph:

Week 6 Thoughts

When Yutaka saw a man outside smoking, I expected it to be his brother. Imagine my disappointment when it’s that guy. Seeing him get cigarette smoke blown in his face was worth it though.

I’m excited for the next volume since the author is alluding to more Yutaka family stuff in that one. The way things were left in the original manga felt incomplete, so I’m rooting for their relationship to be deepened.

Also looking forward to Minoru and Yutaka moving in together. Especially whether that means moving in to Minoru’s home or out. I would expect the latter, but that’s sure to cause all sorts of troubles.

Page 171, why does Yutaka get addressed by おにーさん

ちょっと~
おにーさん
マジっすか?

Page 174: when Yutaka says

今はスープジャーでみそ汁持ってくのにハマってる

Why does he say く in between 持って (to hold) and のに (although/even though)

Also I finished Chapter 6! Final stretch. :]

(Without looking at the book and assuming context here ) おにいさん is a form of address for I wanna say late teens to mid/late 20s.

This is a contraction of 持っていく, so it expresses that he’s taking the miso soup somewhere.

@shitsurei is correct! The おにーさん is a form of endearment in this case (though it can be a more general term of address), and the てく has consumed the normal い that would go in between.

Finished okawari. Lovely. Cute but not as good as the original by a small margin in my opinion.
