I don’t think the ebook at least has any sort of chapter/division marks, so I’m not sure the best way to denote where you are in the book besides page/rough % numbers…
Here’s a quick starting poll; I figure since it’s going to be pretty informal people can really start whenever they’d like, but I wanted to see if we could pin down a date for those who might want to better plan it around their current schedule:
My early September is gonna be a mess, but I’m still going to be reading anyway, so worst case I’ll just get a slow start. I voted for next week and later in the month but am not super bothered by the start date.

Okay, I have officially started~ I’ll likely be reading quite slowly, but we’ll get there. I only read a little tonight (up until when 夏奈 plugs in the refrigerator), but I’m liking it so far! 夏奈 comes across as a bit airheaded (?) so far, which is already amusing. Took me far too long to realize that 亮 was her husband.
omg! Thinking about it, I think I do vaguely remember @cat mentioning that the husband comes back to life, but I thankfully forgot all about it and just about burst out laughing when he walked in the morning after. I love 夏奈’s thought process about how this could possibly have happened:
It was a dream →
She killed the wrong guy →
The new guy is 亮’s ghost →
亮’s some kind of amoeba-like lifeform that splits itself? →
So I have a theory after finishing 夏奈's flashback section
(“Flashback section” being 夏奈 recounting life before she met 亮, how she met him, and how she got here.)
Crazy theory time: “亮” is actually a pair twins: one 亮 likes her and the other doesn’t, and she accidentally killed one of them.
By the way, aren’t you just asking for trouble if you, a young single woman, bring some dude to your home, who won’t even speak to you, and start living with him? Like, isn’t that super weird?
This is trash Japanese literature so no, this is very reasonable and doing otherwise would be heartless and cruel and not actually like, kind of sensible

Still going pretty well; I haven’t seen anything yet to contradict my theory of 亮 having a twin. I am curious if 夏奈 will have to postpone her second murder or not, or how that’s going to go. Honestly, the more we learn about her marriage pre-murder, the more I hope she can kill all the 亮 clones and live a happier life away from him. Like, even if this 亮 actually does care for her and isn’t physically abusive, could you really trust a man after finding out he had such a weird living arrangement?
I also wonder what he would think if he found the body in the freezer; I kind of want it to happen, just to see what he would do…

Lmaooo, 亮 totally knows what she’s done, no doubt now. He totally manipulated 蒲田 to eat that food. I’ve been wondering why, if he’s a twin, why he hasn’t seemed unbalanced on not being able to find his brother; originally I put it down to him knowing his brother is a leech and a womanizer so expected him to be off the grid for a bit, but time kept passing with no indication of any worry on his part. So perhaps his renewed resolution to be an いい夫 is because he knows the brother won’t be there to interfere anymore. >.>
Makes me wonder how much he knows of his brother’s abuse…
(Note: if I’m later proved wrong about the brother thing, just substitute clone and/or sibling amoeba in the above speculation.)
For whatever reason I’m getting really nervous that 蒲田 is also some kind of sicko and 夏奈’s jumping from one bad situation to the next. I hope that’s not the case, and there hasn’t been any indication that that’s the case so far, but I guess I get nervous when someone’s too nice, you know?
Anyway, now that 夏奈 knows that 亮 knows, she should consider having a long talk with him (at a distance, armed with a baseball bat) to clear things up. Ideally she’d have some better way to subdue him should things go south in that situation, but all indicators seen to point to the current 亮 being more of an ally than the old, at least.
So are we really not going to talk about the contents of the 冷凍庫? You know that 亮 has seen the contents, he literally just alluded to the contents, and he alluded to what you’ve been doing with the contents. We’re not going to use that as an opening to conversation? We’re just going to go back to pretending everything’s normal? Great, thanks guys.
Honestly I’m most surprised at 亮’s not pushing the matter, as well as the return of デーモン亮. The twin theory isn’t dead yet; maybe this 亮 is just better at hiding his suckiness than the other.
Edit: I wonder if it’s possible the 亮’s are triplets… That seems excessive, but maybe possible?
