I’ll leave it up to you. I didn’t put one for Chrismas Tina, and the only reason the first VN in that table has one is because the thread owner guesstimated one, iirc; I’m not bothered by not having one. Whenever we do get VN support on Natively we could add them then.
I split the Informal Club listing into two; there are 10 in the first one, and when we reach 10 in the second I’ll add another.
I tried using the new fancy table editor to edit the Visual Novel table, but it corrupted it and had to go back to fix it.
@eefara if you put a green dot over there you can take the 100th edit
It is done. Thank you for letting me have this honor.
I tried the new editor as well at some point (maybe in the LN club?). Same results. We’re too much for discourse, maybe.
It worked for this table, so I think it should be fine for new tables, but probably has something it doesn’t like as an old table done in text directly.
JP book clubs should (hopefully) be fully updated. I added a icon for the 今日からマ王 offshoot club; post if you think it should be split off into it’s own entry!
The is very cute!
I think it’s fine just having the icon to denote offshoot clubs, although the one you added links to your comment rather than the home post.
Whoops; I’ll fix that. Thanks for checking!
Small update from me: I’ve been marking informal clubs as “Finished” if it’s been a month since the last reply. They never truly close, of course, but I’ve just wanted to have a consistent way to keep updated records on active club status. (If someone posts after an informal club has been marked “Finished”, I don’t change the status back to “In Progress”.)
The first detail section of informal clubs have now all been marked Finished, so I’ve updated the emoji next to the section title in the table of contents to have a in order to visually distinguish for anyone maintaining the list that no more entries should be added; too many entries makes it difficult to edit down the line. Instead, we’ll keep maintaining the “Informal Clubs, Pt. 2” section, and once that hits 10 entries start an “Informal Clubs, Pt. 3” one. Does that sound to everyone?
I went ahead and did that with the Higurashi VN club one. Seeing on the following probably nobody noticed
Also not sure where it leaves for new nominations for that club, but maybe something that has some popularity will be nominated sometime.
For the moment I’ve just added a icon to the original 雨でも晴れでも Yuri Club book entry; it doesn’t link to anything, since the offshoot club is continuing on in the original club thread. (And I finally added an extra legend up top now that we have two offshoot clubs.)
Does that work for you? Or would you like to try to represent the offshoot club in a different way?
That’s fine
I don’t know who it is but whoever it is that keeps updating the Yuri club for me thank you I keep forgetting to update here
According to the edit history, that would be @eefara
You’re welcome! It’s no problem, haha.
I have a question you migh be able to help me with since I don’t want to ruin anything since it’s so beautiful right now, it’s also relevant to @Megumin
I was thinking of adding the informal webnovel book club since technically there is a decision on what to read there (the timetable is “we start reading at date X and date Y is the next book/voting next” and it has 4 people at best case scenerio but potentially only me playing make believe that others will read webnovels with me, hence I categorized it as an informal book club but hoped to put here to see maybe others will show interest or will remember it from the Book club suggestions thread and join in)
as of now the structure for informal clubs only allows adding by book so I was thinking of just adding the home threads for what’s being read (which tbh feels like it makes sense regardless) but I wanted to make sure it sounds legit to you guys (since you two seem to do a lot of editing and work into the index and I don’t want to ruin it)
If you’re planning on reading multiple titles (which it seems like you are based on the tiebreaker vote now), I personally would add a new club section entirely instead of adding the books to the informal groups. Even if there’s a looser reading schedule, I think it would be easier to maintain in terms of organization and cleanliness if the webnovels were in their own group.
Edit;
Fixed, I’m a dumbass
+1 on this suggestion.
