I don’t mind running it, then. I do not have a physical copy for page numbers, but other than that, I should be fine.
Let’s do that, then. Thank you, Naphthalene!
Thank you! ![]()
Okay, I’ll set it the home thread later this week (probably Thursday).
Alright!, I’ll see where I get a copy of the book. Probably Kobo as I’m trying to get away from Amazon stupidity.
Also, whenever someone has the ability to, changing the topic from VOTING to the next book title, to get as many people know what’s coming up would be handy.
It’s on sale on BW:
I want to be able to put it on my reader, and I don’t think books in BW can’t be converted to epubs easily?
Otherwise I’d have started buying from them as they have good sales frequently
Changed the name. I apparently still have regular powers so feel free to ping me to change it once we need to change it again.
As far as I know, it’s not possible at all. Any post I have seen about it (in the Japanese community, though) has been met with people being mean (to say the least) to the original poster, soooo it’s not likely to get better either.
If you do find a way to get around it, I’d be interested, though.
Alrighty, I’ve updated the OP and nomination lists, and removed ゲーマーズ as requested, @bbo!
I’ve seen a solution for Honto, but not for BW.
I saw once someone that knew how to remove the DRM but would not share as not to make them change the encryption.
not easily, no, and it’s a bit of a well kept secret because ppl worry it gets plugged.
If you in general have a way to convert image scans to epub (like via OCR I guess?), it’s technically possible, you just need to acquire the images (one at a time) via scripting/programming.
Tho if I were doing that, I’d just buy it on the platform & then afterwards
it, and convert that. That seems like less thinking to me.
I’ll just get it on Kobo. The JPY is so weak that everything seems in a sale permanently
Alright, the home thread is up!
I’ll set a poll for pace as well soon-ish.
Just added a bunch of polls on pace and start date.
(If the start date has been decided already, let me know
)
Alright, we will start on the 2nd of February.
We now have a tentative schedule as well!
はめふら is slowly coming to an end; and with that, voting will begin again soon! Please make sure to get your nominations in; voting will being March 28 and run until April 5.
My hopes at my luck are low, but never zero ![]()

Summary - English
Ken Usato is a normal high-schooler in every sense of the word—average grades, dreams, and a tendency to dislike extraordinary people. However, when he encounters the president and the vice president of the student council, both popular and extraordinary, he immediately befriends them. All of this is interrupted when Ken’s new friends are summoned into another world—and he accidentally gets summoned as well!
Dejected and with no way to return, he resigns himself to staying quietly in the new world—until he finds out he has an affinity for healing magic, a very rare form of magic which gives him both self-confidence and the attention of all mages. However, not all attention is good, which is something Ken realizes when he is noticed by a crazy fellow healing magic user…

Why are you nominating this book: I enjoyed this series as an anime, and I started reading the book, but I’d probably need a push to read along with someone, to increase my snail pace.
Just a heads up guys: I’ve decided to remove the “Is this available in another language field” from our nomination template and nomination list, as we haven’t had much demand for knowing whether a different language edition is available and to keep the table clean. I don’t mind other people joining reading in other languages though for future clubs!
