Lists discussion

The image generation was broken the last 3 days, fixed up now. Should be good.

@DIO-Berry A manga suggestion for your list!

Thank you!

I think someone already mentioned this, but just in case, I think the save button should be moved. I almost deleted my list by accident after editing it because I automatically clicked on where I thought the save button would be. At least on mobile, if you want to save, you have to go all the way to the bottom of the list, when it’d make sense to have two save buttons: one at the very top and one at the bottom.

I could easily see me accidentally deleting a list because of this… :fearful:

I think the save button would be better placed to right of the delete button.

For April Fools all the delete buttons say “Save”.

And instead of Saving, it marks all items in your library as finished reading, then you watch the world burn.

And Delete is probably better at the bottom of the list. It’s a one time-only action that you want to do after deliberation. Not really any reason for it to be at the top, imo.

I am hoping to use a private list to wait for time to turn-on VPN. (Otherwise I can’t buy some books.)

Also some books waiting for promotion / buy later.

@brandon would it be possible to add me as a collaborator to Boys' Love Book Club | Japanese list by bibliothecary | Natively ? Just so I can add to the list while bibliothecary is away.

@eefara done!

Just checking, when making a list it’s not possible to manually select which covers appear in the list preview or which tag shows up next to it, right?

Correct on both counts.

I would like to be able to add multiple volumes in the same series to a list. Right now you can only add the first volume.

Potential reasoning: A series has standalone stories for every book, and some books might fit a list theme but not others.

Personal reasoning: I want to make a list to take notes on my audiobook comprehension improvement, but I can’t add multiple volumes in the same series even though I listened to those and want to note what I thought in a list.

This is true when editing the list itself, but you can go to any volume in a series and add it to your custom list from the pop-up menu. :slightly_smiling_face:

edit: Just tried adding different volumes in a series and you can add any volume - it will suggest the first volume, but you just have to input the whole title of the volume you want to add.

I see! Well then, I update my suggestion to ‘I would like to be able to add multiple volumes from the list itself.’ It seems odd that that functionality isn’t consistent, I wouldn’t have known that I need to navigate to individual books to add them.

See edit above

Just had to change the volume number.

So incredibly OT

Nooo, don’t start reading hanakimi in Korean… I’ve read the whole thing in Japanese as it was coming out but have been considering a re-read for a few years now, esp since there was a short sequel series and a spicy BL side story. If I get wind of anyone reading it I’ll probably need to too

This is you trying to convince me not to read it???

Started the first volume of Ouran in Korean, just fyi… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
