This is the informal offshoot book club for the 今日からマ王! series. The first volume was read as a BL Book Club pick, and for those who want to continue reading and discussing the series, you can do so here. As it’s an informal club, we don’t have a reading schedule, so you can read at your own pace.

Not sure if I’ll go beyond volume 1 of the collected edition, but I do definitely want to finish it up. Not 100% sure when I’ll start OG volume 2 quite yet; I have a few other books I’d like to finish off first, I think.

Is this club still a thing? I’d kinda like to get into this series, I only ever read volume 1 (and maybe 2? Not sure) in German in the late 2000s when they first tried to popularize LNs

I mostly asked because well I have a… Let’s say bit of a backlog when it comes to books but I think reading this series or like any series on a schedule like the book clubs here do might make it easier and more fun

I do own volume 2, but it’s soooooo far back in my priority list… It feels unlikely that I would read it any time soon.

I noped out of this one for difficulty when we read the first one. I’m interested in revisiting it eventually, although I do have the first 4, and #6 of the manga (I got them used), so I’d probably read those and then carry on from the LNs after that I think..

But yeah, like @Naphthalene, it’s really low on my priority list rn..

Yeah I haven’t even finished volume 1…

I’m another one who wants to return to the series but not yet. I’d def be up for joining a repeat club maybe later in the year (and prob just reading the Korean version).

It seems like I’ll have to Ponzi scheme everyone into reading this with me.

I still haven’t bought this series but I’m currently thinking about it since I found a great deal to get all of them
