Today’s haul! I found a BOOKOFF with a crazy amount of ¥100 books so every single one in the pic aside from 日本の歴史 was ¥100. I was able to find a lot of the next parts of series that I have previous vols in too.

I’ve been meaning to post full collection pics for a while but I kept rearranging my shelves lol. I think I’ve finally finalized most of them 
In order of proportional JoJo
I arranged these two shelves so that they don’t get much direct light in order to help preserve the colors of the jackets. The first pic is all first edition JoJo volumes.
These ones are a mix of first editions (replaced by higher quality) and vols I bought before starting to collect first editions
This desk is the best desk even if it has no traditional storage lol.
Plenty of space for more books :3

I like that desk! And that’s a neat sliding bookshelf (starting from the second pic); is it ever difficult to access any of the books in the back?

I love that sliding bookshelf. The only hard part is that the shelves in the sliding bit aren’t completely level plus the figures not always so great at staying up (cough Mista on the vespa cough), so they fall when moving sometimes. It’s super easy to access the books behind though. Also, tanko fit perfectly on the sliding shelves, so it’s also possible to fill them that way as well.

I’m not 100% satisfied with the arrangement yet… I guess the action figures will finally get kicked out when やがて君になる arrives soon… or maybe I’ll put やがて on the 2nd lowest shelf. It’s tricky, cuz there’s so many wonderful things I wanna showcase

やがて君になる - wish they all had the sorta obis that vol 5 does, but still excited to own them either way!! Definitely nicer than the digital ones

I kinda like the solid obis. They did a really good job of picking them to match well with the covers and the rest of the set.

I think they’re great for solid-color obis. I just always prefer obis that at least partially preserve the picture

I like the way the quote on the obi on the last volume is almost but not quite the same as the one on the first volume, too.

These were off eBay, so I’m guessing they were originally bought at separate times, and that the solid obis are the norm? I actually haven’t seen any of the other volumes with the non-solid ones online so far.

Just received this. Mainly got it after realizing I was missing a light novel from the .hack series.
Sadly the Vol. 5 was a limited run that you could only get after getting the other 4 back in 2017, and the price was ridiculous second hand.
But the novel I bought it for is completed in these 4 volumes, so I guess it’s not a big of a deal.
I’ll keep a watch in any case see if I end up finding the elusive vol. 5 at a proper price.

Also, question for .hack fans - what’s the best way to get into the series? I do have the .hack//GU games (haven’t played them), and read .hack/XXXX waaaaay back in English and enjoyed it.
