If you’re not ordering a bunch of irregular stuff, you could just put comparable items in Cdjapan shopping cart, and then check the shipping rates there. (Ex manga/LNs of the same general size)

Turns out 白い部屋のふたり, リボンの騎士, and 乙女手帳 were the only particularly old printings, and they all seem to be in reasonably good condition. Surprised how beautiful the art in 少女セクト is printed (much nicer than digital, and they used higher grade paper, plus hard back as well). Looking forward to reading the whole story. The 吉屋信子 novels are pretty exciting too - curious to see how they compare to 花物語 上 | L39

never!!! they are spares in case something happens to the other copies 
I have 14 duplicate random vols because of various goofs here and there 
so for now they sit in a stack… guess if someone wanted them they could have them (but they are for sure random)
I have vol 15 of yotuba, vol 8 of given, vol 8 of blue sky, rokuhoudou 15 i think, and some of slime but lt novels that were ordred by mistake (11-13 iirc)… few others
considering the vol of physical books only a few isn’t too bad

(but I also don’t buy used sets, which I imagine is how many people end up with duplicates)

uhhh nope…these are all new and even one of them is a special edition with the plastic still attached… none of them are used…
the used ones I have bought, I have had to go out of my way to find (specifically something I wanted I didn’t have) out of print or whatnot… don’t have many of them just a few. Tend to buy everything brand new - if i I remember I’ll post up the books I have extras of later … could send them to a good home vs keeping them in a random stack.
Don’t anticipate making this mistake anymore (hopefully) now that my library is mostly tracked in natively (with a couple of exceptions I got from cdjapan but aren’t amazons catalog for whatever reason) so cannot add them (which is annoying).

I’m up to 525 manga (728 if you count other media), and have a spreadsheet to prevent this, but apparently I forgot to update it for 徒然日和
The only other duplicates I have are cuz I found a set of something, after I owned a volume or two, I think

My list on Natively shows 599 manga volumes, but a large number are digital. Now that I think about it, I don’t really have any idea how many physical manga volumes I own… maybe I’ll count later.

Digitally I’m at 606 (tho probly about 15 or so are individual chapters), but a lot of those are duplicates with physical things I own now 
(because I wasn’t buying physical stuff back then)

also somehow ended up buying these twice (no clue how I did this one either 9-13) but offered them at one time to someone who might want them when we were reading this whole series with the club (that’s how long I’ve had them) also brand new [this the regular series we already finished - not the moto series we are reading now]
cherry magic 11 special edition with the extra booklet (know how I did this, preordered then ordered it again not realizing it was already on the way) [this one is still wrapped it’s plastic 
arg the desklamp reflections are annoying but
yotsuba 15 and rokuhoudou 15
also ended up with these three -all vol 8 (weird…certain this was similar to my double order of cherry magic)

I have one duplicate volume, of one of the later Spice & Wolf novels – I was in a bookshop and got confused about which volume I’d got up to in the series…

Sounds different but don’t quite know how it is.
New bookses! I’ve been doing a lot of browsing on publisher websites for children’s novels. The bottom row is all finds from my browsing, I might nominate one of them for the children’s book club before the next vote.

I am down to book club it! Not sure exactly when though. I feel like it’ll be challenging even in modern Japaanese because of all the cultural differences and the writing style.
