Physical Media Megathread

yeah this!!!

I have had these on a possible buy list before - they seemed interesting but looked to be paperback only? no digital? so hadn’t pulled the trigger yet (cuz reading manga is one thing but finding reading tiny kanji is painful on the old eyes - an yomitan sensei is especially helpful)

I didn’t find a digital version on Amazon or Bookwalker. Good to know

yeah I had looked a while back and tagged it (I have a few “hidden lists” for tracking possible purchases and placeholders) the artwork is really beautiful (tempting to order them anyway) silly cd japan and that add to order button - evilness!

there are some books that are also kindle only - and I refuse to buy from amazon but keep track of those too cuz maybe at some point they will be printed or show up on bw or elsewhere

edit:
haven’t done it yet
meh what was I worrying about - ordered (don’t want them to go out of print) then have to find them used later (and if they sit - not a big deal anyway, not like these would the only books sitting :relieved: )

Sure, here are some covers of yuri manga I own that involve some physical closeness between the two female characters. But I think all of these are tamer than much of what shuly posted. :joy:

I’m not seeing the diff…all looks about the same level of spice to me

thinking some of my books I haven't posted are right about autoignition temperature

I mean there’s a huge difference btwn the pictured yuri and BL ones. A lot of the BL ones have a mix of sadistic and alarmed facial expressions (tho some calmer ones too), tense body language, partial nudity, people getting their clothes taken off (with varied levels of consent and physical force it seems), and multiple of them seem like they’re depicting actual sex scenes

Yuri ones here are a lot more happy smiles, light touch or physical contact, intimate gazing into each other’s eyes, etc. The body language is generally very relaxed. Out of those, 雨夜の月 is the only one that seems like it might be a sex scene (which is hilarious, knowing the context), and おとなになっても is the only one that looks kinda spicy (and even there the art style obscures it)

Relatable except I post them most of the time anyway

geez the grief i’ve gotten for even posting the tame stuff…
I’ll leave that for you to do

I hope you don’t mean the present discussion = ppl giving you grief… If so, it wasn’t meant that way at all

Now that I look, most of my physical covers aren’t that bad yet

And having looked, it’s making me want to start a lot of my recent purchases… which I guess isn’t entirely a bad thing

naw…just the irony…

if i hadn’t blurred the 2 books…
no one would have probably said anything at all…

silly me… :person_shrugging:

if i really wanted to be mischievous… let’s see there are these … :smiling_imp:

Ahh probably true. Btw meant to say, I love the Stark pfp

Yeah, no one would have said anything if you hadn’t blurred the one, which I also thought was less spicy than one or two others you showed. :joy: Besides, @暁のルナ posts the lesbian brothel manga covers, so I think you’re in the clear.

Did I ever post the 彩純ちゃんはレズ風俗に興味があります! | L23 covers themselves? Or just forget to warn others the link was NSFW  (I’m more attentive about that now)

ummmm I have no words :joy:

Honestly they’re more wholesome than you’d expect given the title, along with even having an ongoing plot & some character development… Tho I feel like the L23 might be slightly low, given the amount of lookups, in some of the chapters. Wrote a review here

how much we are supposed to expect :smirk:

not throwing stones… glass houses and all

I certainly wouldn’t have :stuck_out_tongue: I was mostly curious about your standard for blurring.

I found it strange that the first one (onBLE 33) had just as much nudity, one character had a languorous look while having the finger of the other character in his mouth. That’s way sexier and appreciated than the blurred ones.

simply thought more skin shown so maybe blur :person_shrugging:
wasn’t thinking about anything else …really wasn’t any more complicated than that

Yes, but that’s what is driving me crazy (sorry for the off topic): they don’t differ in that regard! What’s the difference between topless guy with one visible nipple, the other covered by his partner (1st image, no blur), and (partially) topless guy with one visible nipple, the other covered by his partner (blur)? I literally copy/pasted those sentences!

Edit: WAIT, you thought, as in you didn’t realize? (In that case, I finally understand :joy:)

I actually didn’t notice the nudity in the first one until you pointed it out just now. Between the colors and all the text, it obscured it enough that I thought he was just dressed in white

As an aside, I usually don’t think about covers quite so analytically. It’s been a fun exercise

I wonder if that says more about me than it says about you :joy:
By the way, I can (probably) blow your mind again by telling you the guy behind is also shirtless. (I’m saying that because he has sleeve tattoos that may look like clothes at a quick glance; you can see his left nipple under the エ of エロス)
