Yeah, there’s some cool watercolour pictures inside as well that I wasn’t expecting. I’ve got the original hardback English copy and it’s just plain text, no pretty drawings.
It’s mail day~ Should have one more package coming in later this month.
Starting with F&B on the left, then top to bottom left to right:
- FLESH & BLOOD 22 | L34 - the last physical volume of F&B that I needed. Finally the collection is complete!
A few more non-fiction (2 volleyball and 1 baseball), a baseball short story anthology (featuring 2 authors I recognize, Asano Atsuko and Suga Shinobu, though I haven’t read anything by Suga yet), and a ギヴン art book.
I tried not to buy more fiction without finishing some stuff first, but alas. Actually, I hadn’t exactly intended to buy any more books at all this year unless the Beg. LN club picked something I was interested in that I didn’t already own, but then CDJapan sent me a low stock alert email on a couple things on my wishlist, so…
Some of my recent book purchases!
(I don’t have a but just find them very cute.
)
There’s also a whole bunch of manga (90% BL, of course) which I may post later.
Oooh, is that a book about raising ハリネズミ? Super cute.
I’m curious about that top row in the bottom picture in particular.
One of those looks familiar.
(I haven’t actually read the book. This just came for free with another book I bought years ago.)
Yup!
Despite the covers, it’s not a BL series.
Dang it, foiled. Still, I’m looking forward to any info you give on any of the books~
A lot of the stuff in the first pic looks pretty interesting… Do you have a ハリネズミ, or did you just get it cuz they’re adorable?
This one!
My book haul for today:
ドラゴンランス light novels and Sandland. ドラゴンランス books were an order I placed a few months ago but I hadn’t heard of Sandland before. It was a gift from one of my Japanese penpals. Don’t know much about that one except that it’s by the same author that did Dragonball Z and apparently one of the characters from Dragonball Z is shown in it.
Still waiting on a lot of books coming but they’re getting here in dribs and drabs.
Is the ドラゴンランス stuff related to Dragonlance in any way, or just happens to have the same title?
I believe it is related to Dragonlance from what I’ve read of reviews and it is a translation of a book by the authors of the Dragonlance novels.
As of yet though, I haven’t read it.
Interesting. I remember trying one of those as a kid, and not being into it (Forgotten Realms was much better). The description here sounds interesting enough tho, and the cover’s pretty.
Sadly it doesn’t seem like any Forgotten Realms stuff has been translated. There’s some books I’d totally try rereading, if they were (RA Salvatore & Ed Greenwood specifically)
I found one that might be what you’re looking for?

Also, if you click on the author name at the top, it brings up many other books by R A Salvator as well in Japanese versions
That does indeed seem to be book 1 of The Cleric Quintet!! It looks like they’ve only translated 1 & 2 (guessing it didn’t sell too well 残念), but they have all 3 of The Dark Elf Trilogy too!
ありがとう!
Just submitted both series links to Natively
どういたしまして🙂
Glad I could be of help and it is what you were looking for.
May I ask where you got those ドラゴンランス novels?
They seem to be out of print, and no digital version is available.
Also do tell how they are once you get around reading them.
For my part, I got this within the last month:
Nice book haul
The ドラゴンランス light novels I purchased from Amazon UK. If I can’t find something though I’ll try getting the ISBN number and searching using that.
If you use Amazon, try that or if there is a different site you use, try using the ISBN to search on there. Sometimes I’ll get it, other times I need to check a few places.
I think originally though I was just searching on Amazon Japan for things with dragons and came across them
I haven’t found any digital copies of them though, but there are other dragon lance books on amazon Japan in kindle format. I just search those with ドラゴンランス and they show.
It may be a while before I get around to reading them but I’ll try to let you know once I do
Looks like the green-bordered ones are (currently) physical-only, while the non-children’s/furigana version is Kindle only:
