I’m kind of concerned for Kenji. I know he needed a win/distraction after having complicated feelings about the whole situation with Natsuki, but he’s just asking to get scammed or robbed or something with how he approaches questionable and suspicious life events. Like agreeing to come with Natsuki no questions asked and now solving the random email from an unknown sender. Also, going up to his now-taken-over avatar in OZ, who has the ability to throw the whole system into chaos, and just asking for his avatar back? Really? Can we get this guy some life lessons or maybe a sense of self-preservation somehow?
So true! His passivity and lack of thinking things through have been bugging me too. I’m hoping he’ll get some character growth/ coming of age story line here too and it’s not completely focused on 夏希.
I wish the pace had been a bit quicker with this novel tbh, compared with my other current read 神去なあなあ日常 | L34 which took just four pages to have the main character graduate high school, get blackmailed to go to the mountains, and make the journey there
Still, at last things are kicking off! I do hope Kenji’s character develops, he is just a bit too passive for my liking…
