Oh my Gooooood, did we just end on cliffhanger? Are we at a point where Masamichi’s future life is being decided by his sheer absence of supernatural book knowledge and yet there is my end-of-week mark right there. Dammit.

I just noticed the green box is on the cover of the book… I mean I shouldn’t be surprised we’re about 2/3rds in now, but it feels like we’re about to find a big plot point :joy:

I always appreciate the food scenes in this book: just enough detail to go, “whoa, that sounds tasty”, yet not enough to fall into a Japanese food pit of the characters themselves getting overly gushy about it.

Right? He’s so chill about it! Everything’s nice and calm when we follow 正路, and Shino over there’s been plotting for a week on the best way to kill and eat him.

Wow didn’t see that coming. Things were going so well up to that point. Of course it’s got to be too good to be true considering the circumstances.
