Ah, I misread the search results earlier (no separate vol 5)… ended up just getting 1-4… I have some stuff still left w/ FromJapan, so I’ll probly find a copy of vol 5 on there at some point.
This isn’t it tho… 1 ガルクラ bluray (out of 7) costs about $50 USD, and at least from the little googling I did earlier, that seems pretty normal. I think it’s just a cultural difference / that they’re considered more of a collector’s thing there? Otoh our books are like 2-3x as expensive as theirs… おあいこだろう
A mostly 百合姫 order. 陰キャギャル, 無力聖女, and コミック百合姫 all have the matte(?) covers I love so much. The flipped book is b/c the cover is NSFW. About half new, and half rereads. Really looking forward to digging into them over the next couple of days. Plan to finish about half of them at least. Planning to dig into YH magazine, Senseis, ぜんぶ壊して, and maybe 無力聖女 over the next few days

I’ve thought about reading those before (or getting back to 角川まんが学習シリーズ 日本の歴史 | L27). Would love to hear what you think, when you get to them
I had been considering finally buying a couch this winter… but maybe I should get a kotatsu instead. Hmmm, any tips?
I finally bit the bullet and paid way too much money for a real kotatsu. What finally got me was that it’s rated for 120v so I didn’t need to get a voltage stepper for it. There’s a bunch of Reddit posts about people building their own from IKEA furniture, but you’re still stuck with figuring out how to heat it safely under a blanket and my ADHD didn’t want to deal with all of that.
I wonder if you’d maybe be able to find somewhere locally that would stock them. If I still lived in San Francisco I would have looked for somewhere that had it locally, or even someone selling one second hand.
Also something to think about is whether you’re comfortable sitting on the floor for long stints. I prefer the floor to the couch, honestly, but even so my back tells me after about 30 minutes that it wants to get up. I’m sure it’ll get better over time (and gaining hip mobility one of the reasons I got it, if we’re being honest 
)

Unlikely to find anything local, and tbh that would probly be more of a hassle than ordering online, funny enough
I already spend most of my time on my 布団, when I’m not in front of my computer anyway, so I think I’m good. I do want to get some sort of floor cushions/zabuton or chairs at some point. But I’ve yet to find something both looks like I want it, and is a reasonable price for me

cdjapan order got here earlier than DHL said it would, so I was able to get my hands on it today! A couple of book club books and some that I picked with an eye to filling in bingo squares…
I also got a CDJapan order - thankfully 理由 | L34 arrived in time for the informal club, but I also grabbed 店長がバカすぎて | L31, 図書館の魔女 第一巻 | L37, and 跡を消す: 特殊清掃専門会社デッドモーニング | L33 which despite the cover looking like it’s BL, is actually about people who clean up bodily remains. I mean, it still could be BL but someone tagged it bromance so at most it’s probably flirting with the premise rather than being BL outright

the premise definitely sounds interesting.
The covers for 君と綴るうたかた and 恋より青く are the nice smooth ones, instead of the laminated ones! I’ll probly reread 恋より青く first, so I can stop being confused about the characters in the current chapters (I had a long gap, where I forgot who’s who). I really wanna start 君と綴るうたかた, but then I’ll have to wait a few days for volume 2 to get here
Missing volumes for 田所さん and 君と綴るうたかた will be coming from Cdjapan order, in a few days. It’s getting harder to fit everything in my bookshelves. I think the Cdjapan order might be the nail in the coffin for finally getting new ones…
