Product Updates & Casual Natively Discussion

Alrighty, logged a bug then. Just wanted to confirm one thing before doing so, thanks.

maybe natively is moving to how the jp bookstores organize stuff

first by publisher and color

Anything that it’s not by weight and character density per page doesn’t make sense

(I have always been utterly confused visiting Book-Offs trying to find stuff)

Sorry y’all, I’ve pushed a fix, so that should get released later today.

Thank god, finally Natively will start adhering to the standard of sorting books by author’s mother’s native province.

Phew, all that scrolling through my now reading and now watching was reminding me that I have way too much in rotation right now. Much better to keep that hidden from me with the scroll bar

all of us kidding around about the sorting - doubt anyone is terribly worried… :scream:

we are aware there are active updates/changes being made to the site… and this bug is a temporary minor inconvenience (or should be)

I know you already got it worked out, but just to clarify my seemingly random suggestion:

I can’t remember if it’s books or video, but if something is missing total pages/episodes/minutes, I’ve found it sticks to the front like that regardless. So I thought it was a possibility. Definitely recall it with video, but not sure about books

that makes more sense… didn’t know about that issue (personally haven’t seen it come up) thanks for clarifying

whatever changes were made… worked for me  :folded_hands:

Indeed, just released! Guess @mathew fix worked

Do books with missing images get fixed on series resync?

I don’t think they do.. that’s a very good point, potentially a product request if it’s not already one @Megumin

Not exactly the same, but I’m pretty sure it’s been discussed that the Amazon placeholder shouldn’t be used.

I’ve at least always had movies stick to the front. Not sure if that’s what you’re talking about though.

Small official-ish forum advisory.

We are working on improving the Product Requests sub-forum and performing a cleanup and improvement during the upcoming days/weeks. There might be some noise coming from that category in the recent posts, while this task is being performed.

If it gets annoying/unbearable for those relying on the recent posts on the front page of Discourse, please mute the category. I’ll let you know when this process is finished. I’ll try to keep as minimal as possible.

It would be helpful if there could be a comment as to why the PRs are being locked. I noticed a couple of them had answers marked as solutions but it’s not clear whether this was why they were locked/considered complete or whether the bugs have actually been addressed:

Yes24 Series Book 1 Duplication Bug - was this closed because the duplication bug was fixed, or because it’s considered a duplicate of the PR linked in the ‘solution’? Because that linked PR only relates to the first volume duplication issue, not the multi-volume duplication mentioned in the original post.

The book search within list edit is too specific - Has the search funtion been updated, or is the workaround ‘solution’ considered an acceptable answer despite the search still having that major flaw?

It’s a bit ambiguous if they’re just locked without comment.

Threads are locked to return the votes to the users. If some feels like it needs reopening you can just hit me up in a DM, I’ll get to it, I might have mistakenly interpreted as a valid solution.

The new behaviour instead of one of the team closing them down will be 7 days since it was marked as solved. So from now on, you have that window to reply that the solution is not valid, and we can keep the thing around for as long as necessary.

If you think 7 days is not enough, that’s also something that can be discussed.

Ah, okay. So the two mentioned had answers marked as solutions, but they’re more like ‘helpful answers’; the bugs are still there.

I went ahead and reverted those closures. Helpful answers such as temporary countermeasures for a bug/missing feature should get Likes imho, not being marked as a solution, maybe link them in the OP for extra visibility
