Spoilers should always be hidden using spoiler blur.
When discussing a specific section, please mention where you are in the book, ideally by chapter so people reading different versions have a clear point of reference.
Feel free to read ahead if it’s exciting, but please refrain from spoiling ahead of the appropriate week.

Just started, but this is such a blast from the past. That series was one of the first light novels I read, and the first 女性向け one specifically.
I had forgotten she used to be 17.
I like that we get about 4 paragraphs from her previous life. Clearly not important, moving on.
I really liked when she hit her head and her memories came rushing back, she was suddenly like “and seeing that I was 17 before, I can’t possibly be attracted to this 8 year old now” THANK YOU! The weird isekai, I’m a child, but I used to be an adult so I’m still kinda adult attraction always creeps me out. This was very from me.
I’ve seen maybe 5 or 6 episodes of the first season of the anime, so I was actually kinda surprised that the “Council of カタリナs” was book accurate. It was still amusing, but a better gag animated, imo, so I was sorta surprised that this wasn’t just a way that they had come up with in the anime to explain exposition.
I also wasn’t expecting the last part of the chapter to be from ジオルド’s pov.. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t in the anime (and I feel like at least as far as I got he wasn’t an antagonist in any way)..
I enjoyed this a lot, and I really like the idea of an 8 year old spoiled noble who hit her head one day and then ended up entirely changing her personality
To be honest, this is not the first series, where I feel like the isekai part is super lazy plot start device where it stops being relevant. Sometimes it works in it’s favor though, clinging to the past too much gets annoying quick. We will see about that later I guess.
Having gone blind (no anime, no manga, just the short synopsis on Natively), it’s always a struggle to get in situation of what’s going on. Thankfully mid-chapter started being clearer, although I’m still a bit confused of how she got there. Maybe I’ll do a re-read later of the first half if I find the time.
Also I was aware of the multiple points of view, and I’m familiar with this as Isekai Nonbiri Nouka sometimes has chapters dedicated from the point of view of the residents. Usually while I’m not a big fan as it can get repetitive quick, it helps understanding the plot by revisiting (albeit from another perspective).
Is not my kind of genre I’m used to, but I did enjoy the first chapter.
In this book’s mild defense, she has to know about the game to make it a plot point, so it does have to be an isekai. Otherwise only the readers would know that it’s a game and then that’s not really any different than just an 乙女 book..
Not sure how much more the game knowledge will come in, but I imagine as she meets more people who she knows from the game we’ll get more..?
The prince makes her fall accidentally because she is an annoying 8 year old brat*, she falls poorly and hits her head on a decorative rock. Her brain is then flooded by her past life’s memories, making her pass out. She then sleeps for like 5 days with a high fever while her brain is overclocking to process all that. *edit: I mean, it’s actually an accident, and her fault.
The pace was fine for me, I would definitely not want it over the current one.
From experience of reading together with others, my concern of doing slower pacing would be the stopping points. Sometimes due to that, I get lost in the plot, and I have to go a few back pages to recall (thus making the slow pace a bit pointless). Might be a just me thing though.
I’m personally fine with the pace! I’m finding the book a little challenging due to being the first book I’ve read in a long time, also just unfamiliar words in general, but enjoying!
Alrighty, finally finished the chapter. Took me a bit to get to it this week, but once I was able to sit down and focus all was well.

While the general concept of the otome villainess isekai isn’t exactly ground-breaking at this point, I do find it interesting that the original game apparently had a Katarina route. It didn’t seem to be clear whether it was yuri or just friendship, but I was a bit surprised Katarina seemed to forget about it while she was worrying about all the bad ends. Seems like the easiest thing to do would just to make sure you befriend the protagonist.
I was also surprised she didn’t turn down ジオルド’s proposal. Based on his POV section it seems like that wouldn’t be enough to really put him off, but it feels tactically safer in the long run; even if he ends up insisting, she’ll have made a better impression on him at that point and he’ll be less likely to defect to the enemy’s side.
And finally, the gray-haired guy on the cover is supposed to be ジオルド’s twin, right? Wasn’t he described as blond?
Yeah, agreed, I really appreciated that, and that it was mentioned specifically in the text.
I’m fine keeping it as-is or dropping. It would be nice to stay finishing whole chapters each week (ignoring the super long ones), but if others are struggling to finish all the pages in one week I’d rather we slow down so everyone can read comfortably.
I’m fine with the current pace but wouldn’t mind slowing down either! Chapter 1 was relatively easy for me to follow and enjoyable. I’ve read the manga before but many years ago, so although I don’t remember the details so much, the story is still familiar enough.
I did read some reviews (mostly of later volumes I think) that the story can be a bit repetitive at times, but for now I’m looking forward to the next chapters.
Questions/grammar points?
実は腹黒で性格は歪みぎみ
腹黒ドS王子
I’m guessing this is otome game terminology, but I have no idea what 腹黒 (or the whole phrase 腹黒ドS王子) is supposed to mean. All I get from the context is that he has a twisted personality?
蝶よ花よと育てられたお嬢様: this one also stood out to me, I’m assuming it means that she was very spoiled!
腹黒い - literally black-bellied, it basically means black-hearted
ドS - ド is an intensifier, and ‘S’ stands for sadist
So yeah, a prince with a twisted personality is exactly it.
Oh, I meant to mention this one myself, I hadn’t seen that descripor before and thought it was very neat! 蝶よ花よis a set phrase meaning “bringing up (one’s daughter) like a princess”.
