Oh wow, there will be a book club for this one too? Rad. I’m definitely interested, although it’s very intimidating since it’s a level 33 novel, meanwhile the most difficult thing I’ve completed is just manga in the mid-high 20s, lol.
As a side note, I’m sure if it’s just a difference between versions or not, but the week 2 checkpoint for my copy was written a little differently: 視ていたのだろう
I’d have to go check but likely it was just me typoing. I was glancing at my iPad to copy the sentence pieces and also trying hard not to spoil anything for myself so the glances were quite short
I’m reading a bit early as I’ll be traveling next week and just want to give a heads up that the next section contains some graphic scenes. Frankly it’s a bit torture porn-y.
If you’re unsure if you want to read it, please let me know and I can summarize the contents.
Full spoilers for インタールード1, the sections for next week after this don’t contain graphic content.
We’re introduced to a man, name given as 鶴丘文樹(つるおか・ふみき) who is said to look like a bland, nondescript businessman. He has a woman captive and she is awake and alert. She says she’ll do anything and he says he wants the answer to two questions. The questions are “痛いか?” and “痛くないか?”. He stabs her and repeatedly asks her these questions. As she is dying he also asks her “そっちには、何があるんだ?何が見える?” Because the woman does not / is unable to answer him, he refers to this as a ‘failed experiment’. It is clear this is not the first such ‘experiment’. He disposes of her body and notes that he is very careful to not leave any evidence or anything that ties him to the woman.
Random question, I see that the first post mentioned an audiobook, but I can’t find it on audible. Is it exclusive to some other place? (I was planning to use it to stay focused on the text)
